Most of the time, my days are pretty full, either with work or with taking care of two crazy boys under the age of 4, so you would think that I would hit the pillow and be out until morning. While is the case much of the time, there are other days in which my mind won’t shut off and the schedule for the next week or the thing I said in the meeting today are still circling in my head. I think most of us have this experience from time to time, some more than others. I have found that a quick, relaxing yoga routine can help me get into a more relaxed mental state and sleep comes easier.
There are a number of routines I have found helpful; they are all pretty similar, though have subtle differences. My favorite one is posted below.
