It is that time of year again, isn’t it? Holiday parties full of things we know we “shouldn’t” eat, but just can’t resist, because “It’s the Holidays!” The one more cookie we just have to have because “Christmas cookies do only come around once a year!” Of course we can’t forget the cocktails full of sugar and often cream that are oh so yummy (and some of my favorites) that leave us feeling a little tipsy at best and downright sick at worst.
If you’re like me, your tummy gets gassy and bloated after eating a lot of these foods, especially if they are pretty far out of the norm of your healthy lifestyle. Over Thanksgiving, I had a stomachache for two days afterwards and Tums and Pepto just weren’t doing the trick. What finally helped? Yoga! I took 30 minutes to do a yoga DVD and I was amazed at how much better I felt. I have since found a few specific poses to help, especially if your time is limited.
