Trauma can mean a lot of different things. Mostly, a traumatic event or situation creates psychological trauma when it overwhelms the ability to cope, and leaves one in fear. The individual may feel emotionally, cognitively, and physically overwhelmed. The circumstances of the event commonly include abuse of power, betrayal of trust, entrapment, helplessness, pain, confusion, and/or loss.
Trauma can result in memories, images, or events that play like a movie over and over in one’s mind. If this is something you are struggling with I do a number of clearing processes to allow the strong emotions detach from the trauma.
Call or email to set up a session. Trauma sessions can be done in person or via Zoom Videochat.
