Hi! I’m so grateful that you have found your way here!
What can I tell you about me?
Well, up until about three years ago, I spent a lot of my life thinking I was wrong, feeling inferior, and lacking confidence. Anxiety was a state I often found myself in. I always believed the answers were somehow outside of me. I kept hoping that I would finally be happy when I finished school, landed the job, got married, had the kids, bought the house …the list goes on of all the things I thought would actually BE the answer to happiness.
They never were. Everything worked for a period of time, as a temporary fix. But the same “me” issues always came back.
I spent the last 10 years working as a Clinical Psychologist at a major medical practice where I was mostly happy for a long time. Somewhere in the last few years though, I started to get that the medical model of psychology of seeing too many clients per week and never having enough access to see them regularly, was no longer working for me. I started asking what I would really like for myself and my clients.
I committed to using the tools I teach my clients and I found what helped me to overcome these long-standing issues. These come from everything from very traditional therapy strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to very non-traditional strategies such as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT-tapping) and the tools of Access Consciousness™. The anxiety and lack of self-confidence I once struggled with has faded away and I am now truly living a life I love, personally and professionally.
Today, I do a much larger variety of things and every day is different. This is so much more fun for me. I offer traditional psychotherapy, life-coaching, hypnosis, and the energetic body processes of Access Consciousness™ to empower others to find the joyful life they have been seeking.
When I’m not seeing clients, I can be found running on nature trails, practicing yoga, doing something artistic, hanging with my kids, husband, dog, and friends, and attending lots of classes/workshops.
I want you to know that I don’t have all the answers. What I do have are questions. You already know everything you need to know. You may have just not been asked the questions to get you there. I’m not interested in “fixing” you or telling you what’s wrong with you. I am much more excited about helping you see what’s right about you and building on it. My greatest desire is for you to find enthusiasm and joy for living that is so much more available than you might realize.
I look forward to meeting you!
