Stephanie O’Malley

Hi, I’m Stephanie. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Arizona State University. In 2025, I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Judson University.

As a licensed clinical mental health counselor, I am passionate about providing therapy for individuals, children, teens, and families navigating life’s challenges. I offer a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore difficult emotions, better understand yourself, and work toward meaningful, lasting goals. Whether you are starting therapy for the first time, returning to counseling after time away, or stepping down from a higher level of care such as PHP, IOP, or inpatient treatment, I look forward to supporting you in this season of growth and healing.

I have extensive experience providing therapy for anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-doubt. I also specialize in child and adolescent therapy, particularly working with children and teens who exhibit behavioral challenges, including risk-taking or aggressive behaviors. In addition, I support families navigating relational struggles such as estrangement, DCFS involvement, court involvement, and ongoing communication difficulties.

My approach to counseling is collaborative and individualized. I integrate evidence-based therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Relational Therapy, to create a treatment plan that feels practical, empowering, and aligned with your needs. My goal is to ensure that therapy feels both energizing and effective for you or your family.

If you are searching for a compassionate therapist for anxiety, depression, behavioral issues in children or teens, or family counseling, I would be honored to walk alongside you. To schedule an appointment or set up a free 15-minute consultation, please reach out by phone at 1 (773) 888-9303 or by email at stephanieo.journeytopresent@gmail.com.
