Judith Barajas, LSW

Hi, I’m Judith Barajas, a Licensed Social Worker! I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, and feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as you are, feel understood, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface without fear of judgment. My approach is individualized, holistic, and trauma-informed, recognizing that we all have unique experiences, strengths, and ways of navigating the world. As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in both English and Spanish and value the important role culture, identity, and lived experiences play in our healing.

In our work together, we may explore limiting beliefs, understand patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and build tools to navigate difficult emotions and everyday challenges. I draw from approaches like CBT, DBT, while also incorporating mindfulness, somatic practices, and nervous system regulation. I believe healing goes beyond managing symptoms. It’s also about reconnecting with your body, listening to its wisdom, and honoring the ancestral knowledge and experiences passed down by those who came before us. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build self-trust, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of therapy, you’ll find me spending time outdoors, moving my body, getting lost in a good book, or appreciating the little glimmers of beauty in everyday life. I’m also drawn to spirituality, astrology, and the wisdom we can learn from the earth and our ancestors.

I believe we don’t have to have everything figured out to begin growing. Sometimes, healing means learning to give ourselves the same compassion we so freely offer others. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself as you continue becoming who you want to be.
