Every person is inherently worthy and valuable simply through their existence, and that includes you! As true as that statement is, it can be next to impossible to recognize your own worth when living within a system that marginalizes, exploits, or just doesn’t value you the way you deserve. I aim to work with LGBTQ+ community members and individuals with disabilities, replacing harmful imposed narratives with ones of strength and empowerment. While we can’t do much about systemic oppression while in the therapy office, we can do our best to resist its impacts on our self-worth and mental health!
When working with clients, I aim to create a safe environment of unconditional support and positive regard. Through this, we’ll work together to identify your strengths and values, using them to build confidence and a sense of personal empowerment. This is always a collaborative process; You’re the expert on yourself and your needs!
The pain you feel is not who you are. Being othered by society can make life feel like an uphill battle of making it through another day; But it’s not your fault, and it doesn’t have to stay that way! There are so many things about you to celebrate, and I can’t wait to work with you to discover them!
